Chahar Shanbeh Soori-Sucess!!
The Persian New Year’s celebration, aka Chahar Shanbeh Soori was an amazing event. Thank you to Yassmin Mohamedi for all her hard work! Not only is this a ritual that many people are unaware of, but also it is so fun! So again Yassmin, thank you for organizing this. Happy New Year!

First Event! Persian Style
Come to a Persian Celebration Hosted by the IDC Tuesday March 17!!
More info on Persian Celebration!
We’ve planned a Persian pre-new year celebration set for next Tuesday, March 17 at 6:30pm. We will be building 3 small fires that you jump over with the idea that its a kind of purification before the Persian new year (which is the first day of spring) – your sickness and “paleness” (literally translated) go to the fire and you take from the fire its energy and health. So tell all your friends. Its going to take place where the last bonfire was – in front of Ross/Hadley. More specifically, its between the Ross dorms and that path that runs from FIC to Pearsons. I hope you all can make it!
Mentor System
On the table right now is the idea of a mentor system for incoming International Students. The details are still in the works. More info soon!
